Happy New Year, dear Lean In members! Wishing you the best year ahead full of happiness and success.
We are starting 2019 with a session on transforming stress to build resilience, increase performance and creativity.
The line is very thin between motivating and stimulating "good stress", which pushes us to be the best version of ourselves, and bad stress, characterized by fear of not being able to cope, difficulty to focus, sub-par performance, low mood, and irritability impacting ourselves and those surrounding us. If practicing a short exercise a couple of minutes a day allows you to stay in a state of optimal performance, would you do it? If the answer is yes, then this presentation is absolutely for you. This session highlights solutions to the following problems:
Loss of performance & critical thinking possibly leading to burnout
Ripple effect on mood, affecting communication with others
Negative impact on health possibly leading to disease
Stuck-ness in short-term challenges and loss of vision for own career evolution
Here are some of the takeaways from the workshop:
Identify the "deadly shift" in perception that leads to burnout if not addressed in time.
Control and change the emotional soundtrack that affects your mood and perceptions and drives your behavior and communication with others.
How to interrupt stress in real time instead of having to wait to be out of work at the end of the day to do something about it.
How to achieve an optimal state of coherence that enhances cognitive abilities, builds resilience, improves performance, intuition, and creativity, and protects your nervous system from wear and tear.
Live demonstration of how stress affects physiology, measured on screen with a biofeedback device and how practicing the coherent state changes it.
About our speaker: Julie Pône is a personal & professional development coach specializing in stress management with the HeartMath system. She helps women and men who are stressed, unhappy, and stuck in challenging or unfulfilling jobs re-invent their careers according to their true purpose. HeartMath is a set of techniques, models and biofeedback technologies designed for emotional self-awareness and self-regulation.
Julie's move to Ireland 14 years ago to pursue a career of working with horses left her with a chronic disease that made her extremely susceptible to stress. Her passion turned out to be completely misaligned with her life purpose; it took her years to understand and reconcile this. Her journey to recovery through managing her mind, body, emotions, enabled a personal breakthrough to a new professional mission: to save people the time and energy to figure these things out on their own.
After years of practicing hands-on bodywork and energy healing, Julie integrates her personal experiences and knowledge of the connection between the mind, heart, and emotions to develop coaching programs that aid people to transition from unhealthy and unfulfilled professional commitments to balanced and authentic ones. She works in Dublin, Paris and online.
This session can only accommodate 20 people. The registration is mandatory.
